Formation offers customers the flexibility to fully integrate the solution with their back office system, run a standalone system or anywhere in between. There are two main integration routes that customers can take when they want to link their internal IT system into Formation.
Formation Software's data mapping integration method allows data to be passed to and from your existing systems and the Formation Management Studio and Formation Mobile platforms. This is achieved without the need to use a developer via Formation Connect.
Formation Software can be installed on your web server with secure connections to your existing database. Once you have created a digital form you can map fields from that form to your database. Forms can be published to Formation Mobile users in the field. The data they collect within the digital form is then synced back to your database.

Accredited Partners and customers can take advantage of the Formation API to build an integrated solution that meets their requirements and incorporates existing IT systems. The Formation API uses a REST web service to provide a range of functions for integration.
Secure connections can be created between your existing database and Formation Software. Unique data sets will exist within your database and these can be used as part of your digital form. Published forms are sent in real time to Formation Mobile users in the field and data collected is pulled back into your database. You have the ability to specify an update frequency for your specific data sets.
